Mike Mataragas Gears Up for 2026 Season with New Ride, Website

3 Sisters Farm Racing Entry Targets Busy MARS Schedule

DEKALB, Ill. (March 31, 2026) — The 2026 season marks a new chapter for Mike Mataragas, who will debut a new chassis, a fresh look, and a newly launched website.

The DeKalb, Illinois racer will climb behind the wheel of a Longhorn Chassis entry as part of the 3 Sisters Farm Racing team, piloting the Integra Racing Shocks / FK Rod Ends No. 1 Late Model.

After work commitments limited his time on track in recent years, the second-generation driver is preparing for a significantly busier schedule, with plans to compete in more than 50 events throughout the 2026 campaign.

“It’s going to be nice to get back to racing pretty consistently,” Mataragas said. “My car owner has big goals for 2026, so I’m excited. We’re going to spend a lot of time running with MARS [Late Model Championship Series], but we also plan to hit some crown jewel events. We’re pretty fortunate to be close to a lot of great racetracks.”

With an expanded schedule ahead, Mataragas felt the timing was right to relaunch his website as a way to keep fans informed.

“We’re really excited about the website,” he said. “I’m not always the best at keeping fans updated on social media, so the site will help with that and take some of that responsibility off my plate. Eventually, we’ll add an online store for apparel, but for now it’s a great place for fans to follow the schedule and stay up to date.”

Mataragas is set to kick off his season this weekend at Iowa’s Maquoketa Speedway with the Nippy 50, a MARS Late Model Championship doubleheader featuring a preliminary program on Friday followed by a $15,000-to-win finale on Saturday.

Full event details from the doubleheader can be found at www.MARSRacingSeries.com.

Now live, www.MikeMataragas.com serves as the official online home for Mike Mataragas Racing. The fully mobile-optimized website features the team’s schedule, race recaps, news updates, and more. Team apparel will also be available for purchase on the site in the future.
